Hello,
I'm Tina

I'm a relational therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of healing, connection, and self-discovery.

When someone can truly see us and stay with our pain, healing begins to take root in connection.
                                                                  -Tina Phousouvanh Hanson

My approach:

Since earning my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University in 2012, I’ve devoted my career to exploring the deep impact of relationships and how they shape our sense of safety, identity, and belonging. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that shape your relationships, your emotions, your sense of self, and discover new ways to create more secure, authentic connections.  I also integrate somatic approaches that invite you to slow down, notice what’s happening in your body, and give language to emotions that have long gone unspoken.

My Story:

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of holding the emotions and stories of many clients as they’ve navigated trauma, anxiety, relational distress, and isolation. Each story has deepened my belief that healing becomes possible when we feel truly understood and supported. In 2016, I opened Beyond Solutions Counseling to continue offering a space for individuals and couples to find that sense of safety and connection.  I believe that healing is both a personal and collective journey.  Our relationships with ourselves and with others hold both the source of our wounds and the possibility for repair.  When we begin to heal within, we create waves of compassion that makes the world a more connected, enjoyable place.

Credentials & Trainings:

I am a Washington State Approved Clinical Supervisor and have completed extensive post-graduate training in EFT and trauma-informed care. I’m also a professional member of AAMFT and ICEEFT, where I continue to engage in advanced learning.

My roots:

On a personal note, I’m the daughter of Lao-Thai Isan refugees, raised in south Seattle, and deeply connected to stories of resilience and community. I’m also a parent of two and a partner of over 15 years, so I know firsthand that relationships require intention, investment, and compassion. When I’m not in session, you’ll often find me listening to a Tiny Desk Concert, walking my dogs, or savoring a quiet moment with my loved ones.

Together, we’ll explore your unique experiences and uncover the path toward healing, connection, and a life filled with joy.

Contact me to begin your journey toward a more grounded and connected self.
